On Palm Sunday

The Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem is recorded in all 4 gospels. John states that it wasn't until much later that the disciples realized that they had, on that day, fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy found in Zechariah 9:9.
I've been thinking about the fact that sometimes in life we don't realize what we have been part of until after the fact. We are swept along in the activities of the moment and don't get perspective until time has passed.
The people along the roadside waving their palm branches and shouting "Hosanna" that day, didn't know they were fulfilling a prophesy made hundreds of years earlier.
Any given day of our lives, we could become part of something historic and not realize it at the time.
The only way I know of to be in the right place at the right time, is to begin each day by asking for God's guidance.
